*Intro*Most farmers first batch of broilers was a disaster. They started with 100 birds, and before week 4 they had lost 20 birds. ₦40,000 gone just like that. 
They cried, they prayed, and they learned in the hard way.

*Mistake 1: Poor Brooder Temperature* 
They thought "heat is heat". They used a bulb that was too weak. The chicks huddled, got cold, and started dying.

*Mistake 2: Dirty Water and Feeders* 
They wash once in 3 days. Disease entered fast. Coccidiosis wiped 8 birds. 
*The Fix*: Wash drinkers and feeders DAILY with disinfectant.

*Mistake 3: Wrong Feed at Wrong Time* 
They gave starter feed for 4 weeks. The birds grew slow and weak. 
*The Fix*: Starter 0-4 weeks, Grower 4-6 weeks, Finisher 6-8 weeks.

They put 100 birds in space for 60. They were stressed, fighting, and got sick. 
*The Fix*: 1 broiler needs 1sq ft. For 100 birds, you need 10ft x 10ft minimum.

*Conclusion:* 
They lost ₦40,000 to learn these lessons. You don’t have to. 
Poultry is profitable, but only if you do it right.
