*1. The Setup Cost - Week 0*

- *500 Day-old chicks*: 500 x ₦700 = ₦350,000

- *Feed*: 60 bags x ₦18,000 = ₦1,080,000 

- *Drugs + Vaccine*: ₦50,000

- *Wood shavings + Gas + Misc*: ₦70,000

- *Total Expense*: ₦1,550,000


*2. The Sales - Week 8*

- *Expected Survival*: 95% = 475 birds

- *Average weight*: 2.5kg per bird

- *Selling price*: ₦6,500 per bird live weight

- *Total Income*: 475 x ₦6,500 = ₦3,087,500


*3. The Profit*

Income ₦3,087,500 - Expense ₦1,550,000 = *₦1,537,500 Profit*


Minus labor ₦200,000 = *₦1,337,500 Net Profit in 8 weeks*


*4. 3 Secrets to Actually Make This Money*

1. *Buy chicks from good hatchery* - Avoid mortality

2. *Don't waste feed* - Use proper feeders

3. *Sell directly to buyers* - Don't use middlemen. Go to market yourself.

*Body:* I used to lose 50-80 birds every batch. Heartbreaking.  Last 3 batches? I lost only 10 out of 500. That's 2% mortality. Here's exactly what changed: *1.
