1. New Benin Market (Mama Put Section)

Go 5am-6am with 2-3 live birds as sample. No carry all your birds. Talk to 3 mama put women. Tell them you fit supply every week. They prefer live, not killed. Price: ₦5,500 - ₦6,500 per 1.2kg bird now (Sept 2026).


2. Oba Market - Frozen Food Line. 

Those women wey dey sell frozen chicken, they also buy live broilers to kill and sell as fresh. Go there with your scale. They pay cash same day.


3. Hotels and Bars for GRA and Sapele Road. 

List: Randekhi Hotel, Heritage Hotel, and all those small bars for Etete. Type simple letter: "I supply fresh broilers weekly, 10-20 pieces, live or dressed." Drop am with your phone number. Call manager Tuesday-Thursday (not weekend, they busy).


4. Facebook Groups (Fastest Online Method). 

Post for: "Benin City Marketplace", "Edo Business Connect", "Buy and Sell in Benin". Post live video of your birds dey waka, not just picture. Caption: "Fresh Broilers 1.3kg ready today for Ugbowo. 10 pcs left. Delivery available. Chat me." You go see 5-10 chats same day.


5. Your Estate / Street WhatsApp Group. 

This one dey underrated. Every estate for Benin get WhatsApp group. Post there Sunday evening: "Fresh broilers for weekend soup available Saturday, book now." Neighbors trust neighbor pass stranger.


6. Christmas / Festive Pre-Order (Start Now)

Even though Christmas still far, start collecting ₦1,000 deposit now. Tell people "Book your Christmas chicken now with 1k, balance when e ready December." That way you get customers before chicken even grow.


7. Live Chicken Sellers for Uselu and Oluku

Those Aboki and Esan guys wey dey sell live chicken for roadside. They buy bulk if price good. If you have 50 birds, they fit carry all. Profit small but you sell fast fast, no stress.


3 Rules to Sell Fast:


1. Never wait till bird reach 8 weeks before you find buyer. Start marketing at week 4.

2. Always have small scale. Benin buyers trust scale pass eye.

3. Kill, clean and package one as sample. Many working women for Benin no want live, dem want dressed.

If you start with 15 as I explain for my 50k breakdown, no try to sell all 15 same day. Sell 5 to mama put, 5 for Facebook, keep 5 for house and estate pre-order. That way you test all 3 markets.
